Cassidy Bateman is a chemistry major and theatre minor at Bowdoin College in Maine, but she considers Montana to be home. She loves both the arts and sciences and hopes to combine those two passions together in her career. Currently, Cassidy is interested in pursuing exhibit design for either a science museum, childrens museum, or aquarium. At Bowdoin she has served as the Bowdoin QuestBridge Scholar Network President and the marketing director for Masque & Gown in the 2021-22 school year. Additionally she is a receptionist for the Bowdoin admissions office where she loves helping plan and execute different events for prospective students. This summer she interned at the Montana Forensic Science Division – also known as the State Crime Lab – in her hometown of Missoula. While there, she spent her time shadowing forensic scientists in different disciplines such as chemistry and ballistics, completing administrative and organizational tasks, and getting to know more about forensic science as a career field. Cassidy is excited to see what her future holds and is beyond grateful for the QuestBridge Careers Fellowship in helping her navigate the beginning of her career.
