Connor McNamara is a rising junior at Washington and Lee University from Hampstead, North Carolina. Pursuing a double major in Politics and English with a minor in Philosophy, he hopes to attend law school after graduation. Afterwards, he plans to pursue a career in government, with the goal of eventually running for public office. He is especially passionate about reinforcing democratic institutions, regulating corporations and monopolies, combating climate change, and increasing access to education. Connor has been working towards this goal by serving as president of the College Democrats and as a regional chair of the school’s Mock Convention. He interned with the QuestBridge Graduate School Partnerships team this summer, helping to launch the second year of the MBA Graduate Match. These experiences have reinforced both his professional skills and his dedication to enter government.
