Jessica Gallegos is a student at Claremont McKenna College, pursuing a dual major in Public Policy and International Relations. She has a great interest in educational, housing, and environmental policy and hopes to become a civil litigation lawyer in the non-profit sector. Jessica’s experiences as a tutor for students in low-income and marginalized communities have allowed her to gain a better understanding of the difficulties that they face and further see the importance of ensuring that students aren’t left behind. Her work with the La Habra Water Guardians allowed her to become an advocate for water conservation, encouraging the passing of AB 1343 and enabling her to pursue her passion for the environment. This summer, Jessica was the College Programs Intern at QuestBridge, helping with resource creation and curation to aid current students navigate the college experience.
