Justin Chai is a member of the class of 2024 at Swarthmore College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As an Engineering and Applied Mathematics double major, Justin is focusing his studies and research on sustainable product development alongside green energy system implementation. Hailing from Los Angeles, he’s been involved in multiple renewable energy programs including the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s URISE and a recent consulting externship with Turo concerning electric vehicle implementation feasibility. Most recently, Justin completed an internship with Bain Capital’s North America Private Equity group as a summer analyst where he collaborated with key team members to communicate the actionability and future outlook of SaaS and various tech businesses. He is currently looking to expand his experience in tech or sustainability systems management as a result of his many distinct career experiences thus far. On campus, Justin works closely with the first-generation and low-income student groups as an event coordinator and logistics manager for the Swarthmore QB chapter. He enjoys playing basketball, swimming, video games, and taking care of his succulents in his free time.
