Yizhen Z.

Yizhen Zhen is a junior at Dartmouth College pursuing a double major in Economics and Computer Science. Growing up, he spent half of his life in southern China and the other half in suburban Texas. Yizhen is interested in exploring the many facets of our interconnected world, and he seeks to bridge his diverse interests to unveil contrarian perspectives. On campus, he enjoys discussing current events at the Dartmouth Investment and Philanthropy Program, conducting research into FinTech for the economics department, and getting lost in the woods of New Hampshire. Currently, he is a software engineering intern at Google’s Android Jetpack team, modernizing Android architecture and development libraries for app developers. Next summer, he will be a part of Blackstone’s Real Estate Capital Markets team, analyzing a wide range of real estate transactions from emerging market logistic centers to New York City rental units. From these experiences, he hopes to reimagine how the two driving forces of our society—technology and investment—can complement each other and create a more inclusive future.
