Currently a second-year at Grinnell College, Areeha Ilyas is an intended Mathematics and Economics Double Major. Immigrating from Pakistan, Iowa has been her home for the last 14 years. She is a first-generation college student hoping to pursue a career in consulting or actuarial science. Since her first year of college, she has been a part of Matriculate, helping low-income, high-achieving high school seniors apply to their best-fit colleges. She has also participated in Pioneer Weekend, making business pitches for a panel of judges. Recently, she took the role of an Economics Tutor, helping her peers in their courses. In her free time, Areeha loves to spend time with her family and watch all sports, especially Cricket and Formula 1.
